
SELMA, N.C.— Adventure Development will host a community event welcoming local
emergency responders to Eastfield on Saturday, June 13, featuring a live landing by a Duke Life Flight helicopter directly in front of Old Navy. The free event begins at noon, offering shoppers and residents a rare close-up look at the critical care aircraft and ambulances and a chance to interact with regional safety heroes.
The event will feature interactive exhibits from several premier community organizations, including the Johnston County Emergency Medical Service—accompanied by a special appearance from Mearle the JoCo Preparedness Squirrel. Attendees can also meet personnel and explore vehicles from the Selma Police and Fire Departments, the Johnston County Sheriff's Department's SAFE team, and the Boys and Girls Club of Johnston County.
Eastfield is a 435-acre, 3 million-square-foot master-planned, mixed-use, Live-Work-Play development. Residential components include 211 single-family homes, a senior living community, and Quincy at
Eastfield, a 348-unit multifamily community currently under construction. Commercial features include Eastfield’s 375,000 s.f. shopping center, anchored by a new 129,000 s.f. Target.
The first MEN’S WEARHOUSE in Johnston County opened at Eastfield on Wednesday, June 10th, and will celebrate with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
