JCI (Johnston County Industries, Inc.) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1975 that empowers individuals with disabilities and disadvantages to achieve greater independence, meaningful employment, and an improved quality of life. Serving communities in 8 counties across Eastern North Carolina, JCI offers behavioral health services, community integration, employment support, vocational services, and youth transition programs. JCI also operates a contract manufacturing division providing wiring, kitting, assembly, and wood products, along with community enterprises including the JCI Thrift Store and the Selma Train Station.
